WSWNE’s Welsh conversation sessions
The Welsh Society of Western New England has merged our Welsh Conversation sessions with the Madog Center for Welsh Studies | Cyfarwyddwr, Canolfan Madog ar gyfer Astudiaethau Cymreig at the University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College, Rio Grande, OH.
Host: Dan Rowbotham, Director.
Advantages:
Welsh speaking tutors and advisors
All sessions on one evening, one time
Abilities sorted into Zoom rooms for conversations
Monthly email with themes and activities.
I strongly advise you to sign up… drop in when you can… we must keep speaking Welsh as much as we can to continue our Welsh language journeys.
All levels meet at 7:30pm ET on Wednesdays on Zoom.
MAY dates are May 6, 13, 20, 27
A monthly plan for themes and activities is sent out on the first Monday of the month, and any reminders of other events.
We then e-mail every Wednesday morning (around 10:30am ET) with the Zoom link, theme reminder and again, any announcements/reminders.
Everyone joins the call for 7:30 ET and we go around to say shw'mae/su'mae to everyone and confirm levels and place people and then we go into breakout rooms for each level. We try to keep the Breakout rooms to about 5 people maximum. Mynediad (Beginners) get a full tutor, Sylfaen (Foundation) gets a floating tutor. Canolradd (Intermediate) gets check-ins, Uwch (Highest) has proficient speakers running those sessions.
Here's the form to register... it does have the correct information on and has Dan's contact info on it too: Canolfan Madog: Sgwrsio – Fill in form
